Sterling Silver
What is Silver?
A metal is found in the earth’s crust in the pure, free elemental form (“native silver”), as an alloy with gold and other metals, and in minerals such as argentite and chlorargyrite. Most silver is produced as a byproduct of copper, gold, lead, and zinc refining.
Healing Properties of Silver
Hippocrates, the “father of medicine”, wrote that silver had beneficial healing and anti-disease properties. It is used to conjure patience and perseverance to the wearer, and it is used extensively with gemstones due to the fact that the metal attracts and retains the qualities emitted by the stones. The metal is reflective, as the moon reflects the light of the sun, so does silver reflect negativity from the wearer.
