Inspiration: New York City Sparkling at Night
Origin:
Onyx can be found in Uruguay and bordering regions of Brazil, Afghanistan, India, Madagascar, Peru and the US. Baja California, and northwest Mexico. Labradorite was first discovered in the late 1700's in Labrador, Canada. Since then, deposits have been noted in Finland, Russia, Australia, Mexico, United States and Madagascar.
Material:
Onyx is formed by the deposition of silica in gas cavities in lava, which results in the distinctive bands or stripes we see in the stone. Labradorite is a feldspar where the crystalline structure is such that at the right angle, it refracts a large spectrum of colors from various layers within the material.
Overview:
Onyx is a powerful protection stone that absorbs and transforms negative energy. Labradorite is a stone of transformation and helps to assists when facing change and challenges, attracting strength and perseverance.
