The Luminance Black Diamond Bracelet is a part of our Luminance collection and designed as a tribute to The City of Dreams. This sparkling black diamond bracelet features snowflake obsidian, black faceted spinel and in either brass or sterling silver. This collection evokes the ever-changing light of New York. Morning shines through sapphires as dawn shimmers of garnet. Diamonds sparkle like stars while moonstone, labadorite and peacock pearls represent the pale moonlight glowing over The City that Never Sleeps.

Origin:
Obsidian is found anywhere that has experienced volcanic eruption with rapid cooling. It is believed that even primitive mankind may have used both snowflake obsidian and obsidian for jewelry, tools and weaponry. Black spinel is usually mined along with ruby and sapphire, which is why they share so many similar properties.
Material:
Obsidian is formed when lava cools quickly. When lava cools more slowly, quartz crystals begin to form giving the rock a more textured, “snowflake” appearance. Black spinel stone is a rare gemstone made up of hard vitreous magnesium aluminium oxide or magnesium aluminate.
Overview:
Snowflake obsidian helps one foster personal insights, overcome negative feelings and accept guidance that may be available.
